Project 101, The Lab Gallery, New York. November 4-25th 2011

An installation of 101 individual film works by 40 artists. All the pieces are silent and of exactly 101 seconds (1′ 41″) duration, these were screened at The LAB on an array of monitors positioned throughout the space.

These films have been produced with a wide range of technical means, from mobile phones to high-definition video. Forms include animation, live action, sequential stills, written text and computer-generated image.

The LAB Gallery Presents: Project 101 - AMBruno from TheLABGallery on Vimeo.

101 was initiated by Sophie Loss. The project was developed and co-ordinated by Sophie Loss and John McDowall. Additional supervision by Joanna Hill with the help of Judy Goldhill, Claire Deniau and Steve Perfect.

London Art Book Fair, Whitechapel Gallery, 23-25 September 2011

For the London Art Book Fair 2011, members of the group were challenged to produce books on the theme of blue. This resulted in a great diversity of works which were very well received. It was probably our most successful Book Fair to date: we made sales to two of the major national collections,  many of the titles sold out completely and the stand was pretty depleted by the Sunday afternoon.

Between Gallery and Bookshop was and event organised by AM BRUNO and IMT Gallery. On 25th April, there was an exhibtion of the group's books linked to a talk with Gordon Shrigley, Emily Speed and Kelly Wellman. The talk addressed questions of distribution and display for artists who use books as a medium for creative practice. AM Bruno are...

AM BRUNO represents current artistic thought, practice and sensibility translated and expanded into book art form. The artists in the group are visual and conceptual practitioners in all media, including painting, photography, video, performance and sculpture.

The themes vary from inquiry into the nature of books/sketchbooks, human body/desire/private life, the value of artificiality, writing/image and time.

AM Bruno is an alliance of 24 artists initiated by MA fine art graduates from Central Saint Martins.

We will be participating in the Manchester Artist Book Fair on 8th November at Manchester Metropolitan University.

We'll also be taking part in the Liverpool Artist Book Fair on 15 and 16 November 2008 at Wolstenholme Projects, an artist-led studio and gallery collective.
